Haven members are a rare and unique people specially trained and raised with a focus on meeting the needs of our Lord Jesus as directed by the Man of God, Pastor Chris. Globally coordinated but zonally and locally deployed for operational effectiveness, The Haven functions by operational guidelines established by the Central Executive Council of the Ministry with a focus on financing global and central projects approved by the President of the Ministry, Rev Chris Oyakhilome PhD. As a result, the primary goal is to ensure that all members of The Haven Nation across the ministry function in the fullness of our calling and vision as provided by our Man of God.
The name, The Haven, is aptly evocative of a rest for the Prophet and Apostle of the BLW vision, that he may give himself continually to prayers and the ministry of the word. The Haven was not set up to sponsor the ministry, but it is a platform set up to provide the opportunity for members to express their God given ability of being involved in God’s No 1 business of soul winning around the world. The Haven began in 1992, as a pastoral care fellowship (PCF) for professionals and businessmen in Christ Embassy. As the ministry grew and spread across the world, so The Haven grew and evolved, with the vision becoming clearer and better embraced and with more chapters of The Haven springing up in the Christ Embassy churches.
GLOBAL OBJECTIVES
Gabriel started his journey with The Haven in 2010, and quickly established himself as a steadfast kingdom financier. His zeal is deeply rooted in the vision given to the President of Loveworld, Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, which is to take God’s divine presence to all nations. Gov. Gabriel understands well that while the gospel is freely available to all, its propagation requires substantial resources. He openly invites those with a heart for the Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to make a significant global impact through the gospel to join The Haven.
Throughout his time in the Haven, Gov. Gabriel has not only given significantly but has also taken on leadership roles, serving as the current chapter Governor for the 2023/2024 ministry year. His unwavering commitment has earned him notable recognition: ranking #29 among the Top 100 Global Haven Partners, the #2 partner in the Haven Zone E3, and the #1 partner in the Houston chapter.
Since joining The Haven in 2005, Evelyn has shown extraordinary dedication to its vision. Her significant financial participation for ministry projects and outreach efforts has been transformative, showcasing her steadfast commitment. Evelyn sees her role in The Haven as not only exciting but also deeply rewarding, allowing her to align with God’s eternal plan.
She believes in the profound impact of utilizing earthly resources for divine purposes, a conviction supported by scriptures, Philippians 2:13 and 2 Corinthians 9:8. This belief drives her generous spirit and encourages others to do the same. Evelyn’s journey is a powerful example of faith in action, demonstrating unwavering commitment to God’s work and inspiring collective engagement in spiritual goals. She is the current Deputy Governor of the Houston Chapter.
